We have our first “home” meet in California this week at the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate. What are your personal goals heading in?

My personal goals for this tournament are to finish in the top 10 with a lower scoring average than the previous tournaments I have played in this semester.

What made you interested in golf and when did you start playing?

My mom and sister really got me into golf. My mom is a professional and my sister was always really into it.

What is your favorite part about being out on the golf course?

Just being outside for an extended amount of time and becoming one with nature.

What is your favorite golf course you have played on?

I really liked the course we played in Hawaii. It was right on the ocean and there were whales!

Which golf course(s) would you like to play someday?

Augusta National

Who is your favorite professional golfer?

Tiger Woods, of course. He has had some personal struggles, but he is still a great player.

You’re a three-time Academic All-MWC honoree. What advice do you have for other students to keep their grades up?

Tutors and office hours. I see my teachers way more than I anticipate sometimes.

Although your sister Jenna is no longer part of the team, how did she help you throughout your collegiate career?

Jenna is my biggest fan. I can always talk to her about anything that is on my mind and she is willing to do anything for me when nursing and golf get to be too much.

When did you know you wanted to become a nurse?

I knew I wanted to be a nurse when I was in high school. I was a lifeguard and I loved it.

What is your favorite vacation you have taken? Anywhere in the world you would like to visit someday?

My favorite vacation was the cruise I took to the Caribbean with my family. I would love to visit Italy with my teammate, Sam.

As a senior, how are you helping the other golfers along?

I have a lot of motivational quotes that I use a lot. And I love that my team looks up to me. It helps me to be a better leader when I know that my team is dependent on me.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I really like having dance parties with my roommate and teammate, Sam, and playing with my sister’s puppy, Charlie.
