To the Students,
During Friday Night Fever’s UW Idol: Open Call, I made a joke that came across as inappropriate and disrespectful. I would like to apologize for what I said. It was a total lapse of character and judgment on my part. When it comes to jokes, it is all about perception. My perception was askew and did not help me make the right choice. I am not asking for your forgiveness. I just want to acknowledge that I am a human who made a mistake; a mistake that I terribly regret and would take back in an instant if I could. Again, I am truly sorry for anyone who attended the show and was offended by what I said. This incident was definitely a “growing pain” moment and, like all other mistakes I have made in the past, I will learn from this and will make myself a better person from it.
