Impeachment bill fails

The Associated Students of the University of Wyoming failed to authorize senate bill 2390, the impeachment bill, at Tuesday’s meeting. The bill failed because it did not meet the two-thirds senate vote.

Since senate bill 2390 failed there will not be a hearing for Senator Adam Lehmitz. The hearing was going to take place at next week’s meeting, where the steering committee was going to discuss issues that have occurred.

“The decision went as expected tonight. I do not feel like this was a personal attack in any way. It was merely a procedural event and the problem has been addressed,” said Arts and Sciences Senator Adam Lehmitz.

Although senate bill 2390 did not pass, ASUW does hold all senators accountable for their duties and obligations.
