The day before an interview
- Research the company.
- Know your resume by heart.
- Think of potential questions and answers.
- Think of what you want to ask the interviewer.
- Have all of your materials prepared, preferably in a professional manner such as in a briefcase.
- Layout your attire – iron or steam as necessary so it is prepared the next day.
The Day of the interview
- Eat a healthy meal so that you aren’t hungry.
- Dress professionally.
- Double check that you have the required documents.
- Use positive visualization. You can do it.
- Stay relaxed. Whether it’s listening to music or doing a crossword, do something to stay calm.
- Put your notes away an hour before, trust that you know the material.
- Arrive early; it’s better to have time to spare than be late.
- Freshen up: brush your teeth or have a breath mint, re-tuck your shirt, etc.
- Turn off your phone. Not on vibrate, not on silent, turn it off.
- Remember who you are. Use your personality to your benefit.
Good Luck!
