The seventeenth annual Shepard Symposium for Social Justice occurred from April 3-6 last week. The symposiums focused on “Counter Narratives: Advocacy at the Intersections.”
New York Times journalist Samuel Freedman spoke to audience members during Thursday April 4th’s events. A ‘Marriage Equality in the Equality State’ panel was held during the Shepard Symposium on the afternoon of Friday April 5th in the Student Union. Activist Zach Wahls spoke to students and community members during Friday April 5th’s evening events in the Student Union.
