The highlight of the weekend’s competition was the performance of senior Mason Finley who won the shot put on Saturday with a throw of 65-3 1/2. Finley has yet to be defeated in the shot put since the start of indoor season.

Sophomore Tyler Anderson also threw well for the Cowboys, earning a second-place finish in the weight throw with a season-best toss of 64-4 on Friday.

“The male throwers continued to post impressive marks this season,” Wyoming head coach Bryan Berryhill said.

Sophomore Scott Carter placed sixth in the triple jump in 46-4. Senior Jacob Edwards earned seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.47, beating out fellow senior Aaron Praska who finished ninth in the same event with a time of 8.49.

Sophomore Amos Bowen finished 10th in the mile with a personal-best 4:21.

Senior Candace Wollert ran the 800-meter dash in 2:14 to place third, ahead of freshman teammate Cassidy Meade who ran a 2:16 and finished sixth. Senior Audrey West also placed, earning a fifth place finish in the 60 meters in 7.72.

Freshman Shana Wilcoxson climbed to 10th on UW’s all-time indoor chart at 37-5, which was enough to earn her a seventh place finish at this weekend’s competition. She was immediately followed by fellow freshman Cowgirl Tabitha Briscoe who finished eighth in 37-4 ½.

“We were coming off a great performance last weekend, but we were a little down here at Air Force,” UW head coach Bryan Berryhill said. “We made some mental errors out there that we’ll have to clean up before we face a very good Montana State team next weekend in Gillette. We didn’t have a lot of personal bests out
