He improved in round two shooting a 76 (4-over) but could not close strong as he fired a final round score of 80 (8-over).

Taking home the individual crown was senior Gavin Green of New Mexico with a score of 207 (9-under). His opening round of 65 paced him to his eventual three shot victory. Placing tied for second were Texas Tech teammates Clement Sordet, senior, and Guillermo Pereira, freshman, who both shot 210 (6-under).

Winning the team trophy were the host Lobos of New Mexico who fired an 849 (15-under). The second place team of Texas Tech was 15 shots behind the Lobos at even par. Rounding out the top-three was San Diego State who carded a 873 (9-over).

“I’m thrilled to beat some of the quality teams at this tournament,” said Jensen.

Wyoming has a quick turnaround as they are playing in the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, which started yesterday and finishes up today.

The Cowboys will wrap up the fall season of their schedule at the Cowboy Southern Dunes Maricopa, Ariz. on Oct. 4-5.
