Gaelic Storm, the Celtic rock band, has been around since 1996. According to the Gaelic Storm website, the band has released ten albums, played almost 3,000 shows and has been a chart-topping multi-national Celtic band.

Wednesday night Gaelic Storm will be performing a show hosted by the Gryphon Theatre in Laramie. The show is available for all ages and will begin at 8 p.m.

The band’s website also mentioned that Gaelic Storm infuses traditional Celtic music with modern influences. The band makes a point of updating the genre for a generation raised on rock, country and folk.

The band will be performing at Laramie’s very own Gryphon Theatre.

“We are very excited to be bringing Gaelic Storm to Laramie as we are for every show we promote,” said Gryphon Theatre Manager Dave Soules.

The Gaelic Storm show will be held at the Gryphon Theatre. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available for $25, which and can be purchased online at ticketfly.com or at the door.

The Gryphon Theatre has been a part of Laramie for many years now; however, just in the past two years, when new management took over, the theater has hosted about 205 public events with an average of two events per week. These events range from film screenings, live theatre, dance, touring musicians, local musicians and private events such as birthday parties and weddings. Soules said that the Gryphon Theatre is a rental venue and has a target audience that varies from about 25 years old to 35 years old. The Gryphon Theatre works alongside the Laramie Plains Civic Center as well to put on different events and even classes.

“While we do not directly promote to the students of the University of Wyoming, they are encouraged and welcome to attend events and classes at the Laramie Plains Civic Center,” said Soules.

Some of the past headliners at the Gryphon Theatre have included: Mumford & Sons, Tech N9ne, Steep Canyon Rangers and Rusted Root.

Laramie Dance Center will be hosting the event “Irish Culture Night” the night before the Gaelic Storm concert in preparation for the event. This event was held in the Laramie Civic Center and consisted of dance, music and entertainment. “Irish Culture Night” combined with the Gaelic Storm show will help emphasize the cultural differences in the city of Laramie.

The Gaelic Storm show will be held at the Gryphon Theatre. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available for $25, which and can be purchased online at ticketfly.com or at the door.
