CALLING MULE DEER MANIACS
The Little America Hotel in Cheyenne will play host this Saturday to the Muley Fanatic Southeast Wyoming Chapter’s second annual dinner and banquet. Doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets are $60 for singles, $100 for couples, $25 for youth ages 10-17 and kids 9 and under get in free. A ticket gets you a prime rib dinner and live musical entertainment.
COWGIRLS VS. AIR FORCE
Today Cowgirls volleyball will face Air Force at the university’s Fieldhouse. The event starts at 2 p.m. The cowgirls hold a season record of 20-6.
AN AFTERNOON WITH KASPAROV
UW International Programs, the College of Business and the Wyoming Business Alliance are hosting a conference with former world chess champion and Russian democracy activist Garry Kasparov. The free event will take place at the UW Business Building Auditorium.
BORDER BATTLE
Men’s Cowboy Basketball faces Northern Colorado this Sunday. Taking place at the Arena Auditorium, the event starts at 2:00 p.m. This will be the inaugurating game for remodeled Arena Auditorium and the new Golden Spurs Dance Team will make their debut.
LOCAL LIMELIGHT
This Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. films from local directors featuring local scenery will be shown at the Gryphon Theatre. Three feature films and 13 short films are on the docket. A filmmaker meet and greet and reception will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Laramie Sunrise Rotary is hosting a Marilyn Monroe impersonator Friday night at the Holiday Inn. Abigail Nichols performs her interpretation of Marilyn Monroe. All proceeds go to Rotary International’s initiative to eliminate Polio worldwide.

Next Wednesday, the University of Wyoming’s Global Studies department will provide a free screening of the film Ithemba in the College of Business Auditorium. The director of the film will be present, and the screening will take place at 5:30 p.m.
