Some exciting things in entertainment happened over spring break including, but not limited to, the drop of Kendrick Lamar’s new album, the release of Insurgent and the University of Wyoming’s very own Cowboys playing a very exciting game against the University of Northern Iowa.
Students of the University of Wyoming found their own various ways to unwind this past week of spring break. Ranging from video games to taking trips, the students of UW definitely didn’t waste away their spring breaks.
Seth Badge, an undeclared freshman, said that he spent most of his spring break working and playing video games.
“I worked for the university and then spent some time playing video games and on Skype with my friends,” Badge said.
Video games were a pastime for Kylara Little, a sophomore majoring in English, as well as other activities. Little said that she spent time over break doing a lot of role playing and hanging out with her cat.
“I also watched a lot of RWBY and played video games,” Little said. RWBY is an animated action-adventure web series that has two seasons.
On the other hand, freshman Danny Davis who is studying kinesiology did not play any video games and instead took a trip to Arizona in order to golf.
“I’ve played since I was two and hadn’t golfed in seven months, so I missed it like crazy,” Davis said. “It’s relaxing to me and I get to be out in the sun.”
Brady Cates, a sophomore studying journalism, spent his spring break at home listening to Kendrick Lamar’s new album and watching the NCAA basketball game.
“The best entertainment of my break was watching the NCAA tournament because I love basketball and March Madness is my favorite time of the year,” Cates said. “It’s my favorite because you never know which team is going to win the games so it always brings excitement while watching them.”
Although the semester is getting back into the full swing of things, the students of the University of Wyoming have a break to last them eight weeks summer break finally comes.
