1. Candlelight vigil
A candlelight vigil is planned for today to commemorate a student that passed away of natural causes. Ina Reese Goodman a biology and environment and natural resources student passed away April 5. Goodman was a member of Chi Omega sorority and would have graduated May 2017. The candlelight vigil will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the University of Wyoming’s fraternity mall.

2. Sanders wins Albany County caucus
Senator Bernie Sanders won almost 75 percent of the votes at the Albany County democratic caucus on Saturday. He took 25 delegates in comparison to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s eight delegates. The final vote was tallied at 931 for Sanders and 316 for Clinton.

4. Student art displayed at museum
Prized pieces of art from the eighth and ninth grade laboratory students will be displayed at the University of Wyoming art museum. The 13 lab school students are enrolled in the school’s advanced art course. The students spend the year studying art history. The art will remain on display until this Friday.

5. Chatman receives outstanding staff award
University of Wyoming’s librarian Wendi Chatman, a senior library assistant in access services, is the recipient of the outstanding staff award for her contributions during 2015. The award is given to a librarian staff member who has demonstrated exceptional service to the UW libraries and made significant contributions to the university and community. Coworkers said Chatman has a great ability to handle stressful situations with ease.

6. Job fair
This Wednesday the university is hosting a student job fair. Interested participants should be seeking a career in agriculture, business, nursing, healthcare, communications, education, social services, international relations, engineering and other technical fields. The fair will be held at the Rochelle gateway center from 2-5 p.m. All students are encouraged to attend.
