The College of Law recently experienced an increase in police security. The investigation is still under way, however the University of Wyoming Police Department (UWPD) was able to divulge some information.
UWPD received word of an out-of-state individual displaying concerning behavior online.
UWPD Chief Michael Samp said, “There was no criminal activity, but we felt that we needed to increase security at the College of Law until we could get an analysis of the situation.”
UWPD is coordinating with an out of state law enforcement agency to decide the best way to move forward.
“The individual is not as much of a risk as we’d originally thought, but the investigation is ongoing and we will continue to monitor the situation going forward,” said Samp.
There will be more information as the investigation continues.
