Wyoming Deliveries at your service

Admit it, you don’t want to go to Anong’s in your smelly pajamas at 1 p.m. for the massaman curry with chicken but you will if you have to, and you no longer have to go to many of your favorite non-delivery restaurants because Wyoming Deliveries is on on the job.

“We hope to have our grocery selections up soon and we’re currently working with Big Hollow Co-op but we’re also holding on for a bit until they have their new store up and running. Other grocery stores are still in the undetermined category but we want to be able to work with them.” – Wyoming Deliveries Owner and Operator Chris Johnson

Wyoming Deliveries is a new startup service in Laramie aiming to deliver a wide variety of goods to customers. Right now delivery services are limited to a specific menu of Laramie’s restaurants available on their website, wyomingdeliveries.com. The company plans to expand delivery services to groceries and alcohol, as well as to keep growing their menu selections.

“We hope to have our grocery selections up soon and we’re currently working with Big Hollow Co-op but we’re also holding on for a bit until they have their new store up and running,” Wyoming Deliveries Owner and Operator Chris Johnson said. “Other grocery stores are still in the undetermined category but we want to be able to work with them.”

Laramie presents an excellent opportunity for a delivery company because of constant student and community demand. It doesn’t hurt delivery companies when the weather is crummy because nobody has time to go out in that.

Also, you don’t want to admit to functional society you actually just got up at 1 p.m. Second, you’re not changing into clean clothes at this point, you haven’t brushed your teeth and you could actually care less.

“Most of my deliveries seem like they’ve been to Laramie homes and residences rather than the dorms or to students but I’ve definitely made deliveries around campus,” Wyoming Deliveries driver Chris Lefferdink said. “It seems like students have a lot of variety on campus so maybe that’s some of the reason.”

Just some of the restaurants that work with Wyoming Deliveries are Sweet Melissa’s, Jeffrey’s Bistro, Crowbar and of course Anong’s. The company will also deliver your faster fare like Taco John’s, Wendy’s and McDonald’s. Be sure to check the website, wyomingdeliveries.com, for all of their menu options.

They do charge a delivery fee, $4.99 per delivery on orders over $20 and $5.99 per delivery for orders under $20. All orders also have a 15% gratuity added.

The Wyoming Deliveries company has cleared a state application to deliver alcohol but is waiting on both Albany County and the City of Laramie to make their determinations.

The massaman curry with chicken and tom ka that I ordered were piping hot when they arrived at my art studio in the University of Wyoming Visual Arts Building. The contents of the containers didn’t even appear to have sloshed and it only took 28 minutes from the time of order confirmation to delivery.

Many delivery companies have come before Wyoming Deliveries to attempt delivering goods to the people of Laramie and none have survived. Something about the high quality of food available so far (alongside your fast-food joints) puts this company into unique territory. Seeing restaurants like locally owned and operated Sweet Melissa’s, Jeffrey’s and others offered on the menu creates the desire to invest in local businesses while at the same time staying in the comfort of your own home.

So, stay in your smelly flannels, don’t brush your teeth and have your food delivered to your doorstep.
