UW Police Activity, April 9-15: campus assault reported, demonstrators cause disturbance

Last week, Monday, April 9 to Sunday, April 15, the University of Wyoming Police Department responded to several reported incidents around campus. The following information is taken from the daily activity reports on the UW Police Department’s website.

On Monday, an assault was reported on the campus area; this is currently under investigation.

On Wednesday, police responded to a report of demonstrators causing a disturbance north of Ross Hall; the incident was not criminal.

On Thursday, a student reported a hit and run in the Union parking lot; there are no suspects. The same day, police received a tip about suspicious activity at the Engineering building; this is under investigation.

On Saturday, UW Police received an anonymous tip that was forwarded to the Laramie Police Department.

On Sunday, a report was made for marijuana odor in McIntyre Hall; one student was cited for possession of a controlled substance. Also on Sunday, police received another call from McIntyre Hall reporting the odor of marijuana; one student was cited for use of a controlled substance.
