If you are one of the many residents of Laramie that just cannot seem to remember when your trash and recycling gets picked up, you are in luck. The City of Laramie has cooperated with ReCollect Systems Incorporated to launch a waste collection calendar and reminder system. There will be no more need to guess when to put out your trash and recycling bins anymore now that this system has been put into effect.
ReCollect Systems Inc. works with various cities to provide digital solutions for waste management. They provide applications for things such as waste, street and electrical and water meter account management. In the tech-heavy world that we live in, ReCollect Systems Inc. provides residents with the tools they need to be ready for all kinds of daily issues.
This new system allows residents to easily check their collection schedules online. Once there, residents can simply enter their address and have their schedule provided for them. ReCollect has also provided an app called “Laramie Waste &Recycling” for residents who are always on the go that works much like the website link does.
Included in the new system is a notification system that can be signed up for using either the website link or the app. Notifications can appear as an email, phone call or app notifications depending on each resident’s preference. Residents may also print out their collection schedules if they prefer hard copy or embed their schedules into their personal iCal, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook Calendar. Taking care of waste just got a lot easier.
Another handy tool in the new system is being able to learn if materials can be recycled. All a resident has to do is search for an item and get results. The system will be able to tell you whether their items can be reused, recycled, composted or if it simply has to be disposed of.
