Cowgirls Get Bucked by Broncos

The University of Wyoming’s volleyball team fell 3 – 0 in a match against the Boise State Broncos this past Thursday in Boise.

Offensively, the Cowgirls were led by senior Emily Lewis who had 10 kills on a .400 hitting percentage. She also had four blocks and a dig.

In the first match the Broncos set the pace with 20 kills as opposed to the Cowgirls’ 10. The Broncos won the first set 25 – 14.

In the second set the Cowgirls picked up a little bit more steam 12 kills and only allowing 14 from the Broncos. However, it was not enough and the Cowgirls fell 25 – 18.

In the third set the Cowgirls tried to hang on but were not successful. They had 10 kills, while the Broncos had 11. The Broncos won the third set 25 – 18 to sweep the Cowgirls 3 – 0.

The Cowgirls next game is against Utah State University this Saturday, November 10 in Logan, Utah. That game is set to start at 7:30 pm MST.
