The Winter Club and Organization Fair will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Wyoming Union breezeway and Fireplace Lounge.
The fair will feature about 40 recognized student organizations (RSOs) from among the more than 270 RSOs at the University of Wyoming. There will also be free pizza, music and giveaways at the fair.
“The Winter Club and Organization Fair is an opportunity for students to engage with and learn about numerous Recognized Student Organizations at UW,” per a Campus Activities Community (CAC) announcement.
RSO program advisor Jacque Rickett said it’s important to organize these fairs because it provides an opportunity for students to see what activities and clubs University offers. It also is an opportunity for the RSOs.
“It is really important just because it gives the RSO’s a chance to recruit. The Winter one is really cool because it gives freshman another chance to sign up” Rickett said.
Club fairs are an important part of campus involvement.
“Club and Organization Fairs have been done for a very long time,” Rickett said.
The fairs are a popular event for RSOs, which must register through the CAC website or sign on to a waiting list for a chance at a spot at the fair.
