Attending a new school can always be scary to begin with, especially if the new school happens to be college.
One of the hardest things at the beginning of school is putting yourself out there to make friends. Thanks to events such as Art for All, it makes the friend-making process a little easier by combining freedom of expression with freshman class bonding.
At Art for All Aug. 31, each student got the freedom to personalize a pennant for their residence halls to make them feel a little more like home.
Not only was this event a great way for students to release some creative energy, but it also allowed them to make friends based on common interests and open up in a welcoming environment.
Phrases such as “You guys are so nice” and “No way I love that too”, were common. Participants were able to relax and put themselves out there and create an unlikely new friend.
