The COVID-19 pandemic has left a large amount of uncertainty for students, especially those graduating this year. As a result, the University of Wyoming has introduced advanced degree options for continuing education for 2020 graduates.
The UW Office of Graduate Education has worked with multiple campus programs to get students admitted to advanced degrees in their field of choice, and these programs have given a deadline extension to accommodate students who have been impacted by economic difficulties that have arisen due to COVID-19 (University of Wyoming).
Students interested should reach out to their programs of interest at www.uwyo.edu/uw/grad to learn more about admissions. There is a list of graduate programs available at www.uwyo.edu/uwgrad/prospective/academic.html. This includes information on programs for distance education and certificate options (UW).
Extended admission deadlines are for both masters and doctoral degrees. For more information, email Julie Sheldon at the UW Office of Graduate Education at jsheldo2@uwyo.edu.
There are many other graduate programs with rolling admissions, however only some have specifically extended their deadline (UW). Per the UW website, the fourteen programs that have extended their deadlines are:
