The Wyoming Department of Health implemented modified COVID-19 guidelines on January 26 that will be active through at least February 14. These guidelines implement measures that coincide with Opening Up America Again.
According to the orders signed on January 21 by Alexia Harrist, the Wyoming State Health Officer, Opening Up America Again is the three-phase approach that began on April 26, 2020. The White House plan would remove restrictions when no evidence of virus resurgence occurred.
The orders require face coverings to be worn in restaurants, bars, and clubs. This is a continuation of what has been happening in Albany County and Laramie. Bars and Restaurants also must implement social distancing precautions as well as proper sanitization.
Gatherings of more than 10 people are still prohibited under the modification, unless specifically exempted. Some exemptions include livestock auctions, government or military businesses, residential buildings and grocery stores.
Indoor events may be allowed to have more than 10 people if no more than 25% of the venue capacity is reached, a maximum of 250. Outdoor events may have a maximum of 500 people but no more than 50% of the venue capacity.
Tattoo shops, hair and nail salons and other esthetic service businesses will be required to follow the same requirements under the new order. This includes social distancing, sanitization procedures and face coverings.
Under the modified health orders, businesses are still instructed to require face coverings on the premises. This requirement should be posted at the entrance of businesses.
