7220 Entertainment has set up a concert series on the UW campus.
Various bands will come to play over at Simpsons Plaza on Wednesdays throughout the summer.
“We are excited about the talent we were able to bring on,” Alejandra Prado of 7220 entertainment said.
The bands themselves were chosen based on the student coordinators’ recommendations and what artists are available during the summer.
Student recommendation also plays a role in the selection process.
Bands with past involvement with the program were given extra consideration.
A significant emphasis was placed on providing a variety of musical genres.
“7220 reached out to local and regional artists/bands in Wyoming and Colorado as early as February 2022 to arrange the lineup and logistics for the summer,” Prado said.
7220 Entertainment is an organization that works on bringing events and entertainment to the UW campus.
The group specializes in film events, fine arts-related events, lectures, large-scale events, late-night events, and club events.
While the main summer events have already been planned and announced, 7220 is still prepping for next year’s activities.
“From crafts nights, karaoke, cowboy cinemas, bus trips, live entertainment, Union After Dark, and more. 7220 has a lot more in the works, ” said Alejandra Prado.
