This week is homecoming week at the University of Wyoming and the university has sponsored a series of events to celebrate this annual tradition.
Beginning Oct. 17, UW continues the tradition of hosting the Golden Boot competition. This competition allows teams to compete in space and parade float decorating contests, as well as a Horseshoe Hunt and community service project.
UW Giving Day was held Oct. 19 – 20 allowing multiple organizations and clubs affiliated with the university to receive donations from all across the globe. (see pg.8)
This year also sees the inaugural Tribute to Steamboat event being held Oct. 20 in the Hansen Arena at 5 p.m.
The College of Business is hosting a reception Friday Oct. 21 and a tailgate on Saturday Oct. 22 for all business alumni, students, faculty, and staff.
The Alumni Association will host a few events including the 50th Club Reunion which will welcome back to campus the graduating class of 1972over the weekend as well as Cowboy Coffee and the parade which are both being held on Saturday Oct. 22.
Finally, to cap off the week, the Cowboys will be facing off against the Utah State Aggies at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday with kickoff starting at 7:45 p.m.
