Both University of Wyoming students and non-students have the opportunity to attend country singer Blake Shelton’s July 28 concert at Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD).
UW Summer Programs offers the purchase of tickets beginning Monday, July 9, at the Wyoming Union Information Desk.
Tickets for UW students with a valid ID cost $20, and non-UW students will be charged $25. Ticket price includes admission to the concert and transportation to and from Cheyenne.
A charter bus will leave the Wyoming Union parking lot at 4 p.m. July 28, and will depart Cheyenne immediately after the concert.
“Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis,” says Kayla Lunemann, UW Summer Programs publicist. “Those attending will have the opportunity to walk the park before the show and purchase dinner.” A well-known country music artist, Shelton also has made a name for himself on the television circuit, having just completed his second season as a judge on the NBC reality talent show “The Voice.”
Shelton has charted 17 singles on the country charts, including 11 No. 1 hits: “Austin” (2001); “The Baby” (2003); “Some Beach” (2004–2005); “Home” (2008); “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” (2009); “Hillbilly Bone,” a duet with Trace Adkins (2010); “All About Tonight” (2010); “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking” (2011); “Honey Bee” (2011); “God Gave Me You” (2011); and “Drink on It” (2011-2012).
He also has won 10 Country Music Association awards, including male vocalist of the year twice.
