Two women were assaulted in Laramie within the last week, according to the Laramie Police Department.
Both women were walking their dogs at the time of the attacks and both attacks took place around 9 p.m.
The first attack happened on Oct. 16 on the 2100 block of Binford Street. The suspect shoved the woman to the ground but fled after the victim resisted and after the dog attacked the suspect. The suspect was described as a 6-foot tall white male. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and black athletic pants, according to a release from the Laramie Police Department.
The second attack took place on Oct. 19 on the 2900 block of Garfield. The man grabbed the woman and tried to force her into a car. The suspect hit the woman after she resisted and hit him in the head with a dog leash. The suspect is described as possibly a Hispanic man who is about 5 ft. 7 in. tall , according to a release from the Laramie Police Department.
The vehicle was silver and riding very low and had no plate light visible from the back.
Police are suggesting that people walk with friends and have cell phones readily available to call for emergencies, and to take additional precautions while walking alone.
