As students and fans enjoy the festivities that come along with home football games, the University of Wyoming’s behind-the-scenes workers work to ensure the safety and pleasure for all those in attendance.
On game days, the University hires Landmark event staffing, a security company prominent in the Rocky Mountain region, to come in and regulate activities and crowds. These workers include 24/7 security, ticket takers, parking regulators, ushers, consultants and others. Anyone who has been to game day is familiar with security staff and their vibrant yellow ensembles.
Landmark also regulates and monitors other significant events. Currently, Landmark provides services for three NFL stadiums, five arenas, five major universities, three amphitheaters, a major league baseball park, convention centers and numerous other concert venues, fairs and festivals, according to the company’s website. The offices for the company are located in six different regions across the United States including Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.
Landmark event staffing services has been serving Wyoming for a few years now. The unit, on average, staffs its bigger events with approximately 550 employees who have all been professionally trained, according to Landmark’s website. The company also has an internship program designed specifically for students.
The philosophy at Landmark is to be “Client-friendly, fan-friendly, and employee-friendly,” according to its site. To live up to its values, the company ensures it will “work hard to make sure all the little details are taken care of, so you can get back to sleep instead of worrying about them.”
