The Wyoming Cowgirls tennis squad returned to Laramie and defeated the Metro State Roadrunners, out of Denver, by a clean sweep of 7-0 and snapped a three-match losing streak.
“Thanks to all the fans who showed and supported us this weekend. We had a lot of bright spots, but need to keep working on a few things,” head coach Dean Clower said to a Wyoming Athletics press release.
Northern Colorado swept the Metro State Roadrunners the week before in Greeley, Colo. This was the second straight match in which Metro State lost by a score of 0-7. Wyoming lost their previous match to the Denver Pioneers by a score of 3-4 in Laramie on Friday.
