“We are really excited,” Brian Schueler said. “There was a good turnout and we are very excited that people trusted in us and our ideas.”
The pair said they are prepared to begin work on the objectives they promised their voters as soon as possible.
“We are getting started and looking forward to conversations about reforming the plus/minus grading system, meeting with legislators more and establishing a relationship there as well as talking with students to get what they want,” Schueler said.
Elledge and Hernandez said they were pleased with how the campaign played out.
“It was a great campaign,” Elledge said. “Thank you to everyone that supported us. I learned a lot throughout the process and I know that Victor learned a lot.”
Despite the loss Elledge and Hernandez said they are remaining optimistic.
“We are looking forward to still being leaders on campus, even if it isn’t through student government,” Elledge said.
Both tickets were supportive of the other’s campaign.
“We have the utmost respect for Bryan and Emily,” Elledge said.
“They had an incredible campaign and we have nothing but respect and regards for them as friends as well as opponents,” Kath said.
