UW Police are investigating a possible sexual assault case that took place on campus.
According to the UW press release, the incident was in a UW housing facility with a male perpetrator and a female victim.
Chad Baldwin, Associate Vice President for Communications and Marketing, said the UWPD received the call Sept. 5.
According to the press release, the victim knew the perpetrator and advocacy and medical support options were provided. The matter is still under investigation.
It has been six days since UW students moved into the residence halls on campus. Executive Director of SAFE Project on Campus Faryn Babbitt said, “It’s pretty typical, in the fall semester, to be hearing from students.”
