Gaining an internship can give a student insight into a future profession and the Advising, Career and Exploratory (ACES) department is hosting an internship panel today to help students with the process.
Tyler Grabner, an organizer for the internship panel, said the panel aims “to inform students on how beneficial internships can be.”
Grabner said he hopes that having other students speak about their internship experiences will spark motivation in more students to get involved with an internship.
The panel will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the College of Business Room 123 and will feature multiple students speaking about their internship experiences.
The internship panel will discuss why students should get involved in an internship as well as featuring information on how to find an internship.
“The goal is to give undergraduate students the opportunity to network with others who have had internships already,” he said.
Grabner said he hopes that having students who previously held internships speak about their opportunities will help open up more opportunities for new students looking for an internship experience.
“I’m excited about the event, I hope that the panel members enjoy it and that students choose to participate,” he said.
Grabner said he and the other event organizers are looking forward to seeing how the new event impacts students going forward in their work experience.
Students will be able to ask questions and discuss topics like finding an internship, applying, and finding out how the internship could impact their career development.
