The University of Wyoming’s Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta) opens up their house to the public this weekend to host the 24-hour Pancake Breakfast, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Tri Delta, a sorority at the UW that started in 1913, holds their event every year on the homecoming game day. The event starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. and ends Sun. at 9 a.m. at the Tri Delta Sorority House at 1616 E. Sorority Row. Not only can guests enjoy some pancakes but there is also a silent auction, karaoke, and performances.
Part of Tri Delta’s philanthropy is donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A national philanthropic partnership was formed with them in 1999, and over 45 million dollars has been raised for the hospital. In 2014, Tri Delta has pledged to raise 60 million dollars in 10 years – the largest fundraising commitment by a St. Jude partner in the hospital’s history, according to the UW Tri Delta’s website. In 2017, UW’s Tri Delta raised over $18,000 from their pancake breakfast alone.
“It’s amazing that we have the ability to truly impact the lives of families going through such a rough time, while being so far away from St. Jude itself,” said Sydney De Vault, a junior in Tri Delta.
Come enjoy some pancakes with your family and friends and support Tri Delta’s cause in benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!
