The Historic Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, Wyoming has some permanent visitors from the hotel’s past. Staff have reported many occurrences to the co-owner Astrid. Astrid said the staff have reported feeling presences in the room, and ghosts holding their hands.

A bride name Rosie, her newly-wed husband and a prostitute roam the halls of the hotel after a fatal acciencent in the hotels early days. Rosie and her husband were celebrating their honeymoon at the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne when her husband disappeared for a period of time in the night.

Rosie went to go find her husband and to her dismay, she found him in the lobby talking to a woman, who looked to be a prostitute. The two began making their way up stairs so Rosie began to follow.

Once they reached the room where the prostitute was staying, Rosie’s anger sored. Driven by rage, Rosie stormed into the room with a gun, killing her husband and the prostitute. Overwhelmed with guilt after what she had done, she turned the gun on herself.

To this day, the three spirits still wander the second and fourth floors where the two rooms were located.

There have been reports of laughing and crying on the fourth floor in room 444, where Rosie and her husband had been staying that night.  Every year on Halloween, Astrid embraces the hotels haunted history and gives hour-long tours of the hotel basement and the fatal room of 444.

People can relive the haunting story of Rosie and feel her presence along the tour. Reservations for the tour are filling up but to reserve a spot, the public can call (307)-638-3311 and prepare to come face-to-face with the ghosts of the Historic Plains Hotel.
