New uniforms unveiled

The Cowboys will be sporting a new look for this weekend’s homecoming football game. The look is inspired by military day at the game at 5 p.m. this Saturday against Air Force. The jersey, pants and helmets are new and designed in “camo.” The design is the same digi-camo print on basketball jerseys like the ones worn by North Carolina and Michigan State. However, the print will not be all over the uniform.

The uniforms are made by Nike. On the Nike Blog, Juan Martinez describes the uniforms.

“[They] feature a light grey base with the team colors in digi-camo on the shoulders and in a wrap-around pattern on the legs. Completing the look is the “WYO” on the front of the jersey which is similar to the revamped uniform they showed off last season,” Martinez wrote.

Saturday’s game will be the perfect time to show them off. After all, the University of Wyoming is probably the best university to wear “camo” around.

Below, senior free safety Luke Ruff models the new football uniform, which is inspired by the military. The uniform features the same digi-camo that appears on the basketball jerseys.
